Great podcast as usual guys. Vincent is back! Something bad is definitly going to happen! Anyway, this was an okay episode. Nothing ground breaking but it was still great have a few questions answered. FINALLY it was confirmed that Eko is building a church. To be honest, I was kind of disappointed. I was hoping that it was something other than what everyone on the net has been talking about. Also the thing about the healer talking about Magnetism and healing, and then Rose saying that Locke’s leg would heal faster because of the island. Michael is back (Dun dun dun!), and he says that he knows where the Others are. I think that he has definitely joined the Others, and he is going to lead Jack and the group into a trap. Here is something else that noticed, which probably isn’t a major plot point, but still cool none the less. The tabloid that Bernard had in the episode was called the “Flash”, which was also the comic book that Walt had in season one.

WORST EPISODE EVER!!! Bernard’s whole S.O.S. sign idea was so lame that even the survivors on the island thought so. Too bad the writers and producers didn’t think it was lame too. Mr. Eko is building a church, well duh. Too predictable about Rose being healed from the island. The Locke/Rose connection was way obvious. The Henry Gale/Locke interaction through the closed door was stupid. I can’t stand episodes wih a 2 minute musical interlude. Why extend the show by another 5 minutes just to watch them lolling around on the beach to Otis Redding? Of course Michael was going to be running through the jungle towards Kate and Jack. Who else would it be? The only highlight was seeing Vincent. The producers don’t do commentaries for every episode on the DVDs. They better not waste a commentary on this horrible episode when the season 2 dvds come out.

Hey, didn’t Michael work for a construction company?
Why does Michael get a pass for being gone for a month and no one says he is a DHARMA employee? Michael working for DHARMA and trying to use the Losties to eradicate the “others” on the island, perhaps?

I taped last nights episode on VHS and paused recording at commercial breaks…and guess what? The show is not any longer than a regular show, we just get more commercial breaks in that 4-5 extra minutes. Total running time according to my vcr was only 42 minutes. Don’t let the TV schedule fool you into thinking we are getting extra LOST time.

Hey creatingmore, I found that new Dharma logo, too!. I emailed it back in Feb. to Jay hoping he’d put it in the podcast but he never did. Did you notice the washer and dryer for the Clorox contest are the same kind as the ones from the hatch/bunker?

Hey Jay and Jack, love your show. I also tape the show, and concur with Rick that the actual show time runs 40-45 minute. The show is broken up into 8 minute excerts with 4 minute comercials in between. IMHO the comercial time is WAY too long. Just when a person is “gettin into” the show” a marathon of 8-10 comercials come on. That simply crazy. I KNOW the sponsors pay for the programming, but isn’t there a way to cut down on the comercials. Other shows have far fewer. LOST is a very popular show, and I would think its very easy to get sponsors for it. Is ABC just being GREEDY in how much money they want to make by cramming way too many comercials in the show time? Me thinks so! Also I have seen a pattern in the show, the best information and sequenses happen in the LAST 5 MINUTES of the show. I truley get quite tired of this. Ok rant over.

Hey guys! love the podcast….but HELP! can’t seem to play SOS, what is wrong with me????
April 13th, 2006 at 9:21 am
What about Jack’s skill with a gun? I guess Kate didn’t expect that. Maybe it was one of those things he learned while in Phuket. Or he was in Thailand just to get a Tatoo and help with the 2004 Tsunami victims?

Good show as always guys…I appreciate your efforts!!
Now, for the Carla chick and her LOST news That background sound while she talks is really annoying. Also, where are the show notes she references for links and such?
Now, onto the next hiatus….hopefully you guys will get me through it.

Another good episode. I, too, wondered about how Jack was able to shoot well. Don’t know if that was meant just as a joke, where he ended up hitting it when Kate - the supposed huntress - couldn’t. Or, were they suggesting that Jake has more experience with weapons than we know.

I liked the episode. I thought it was funny when Bernard said to Mr. Eko “I liked you better when you just hit people with your stick” Yay Jesus Stick!

I LOVED the episode. Rose & Bernard are great characters!
Jay, I think you should give a jar of Dharma Peanutbutter as a reward for the best crackpot theory!
April 13th, 2006 at 1:44 pm
Did anyone else notice that Bernard has man-boobs? He needs to contact the guys from Seinfeld for a bro or a mansierre.
Just finished the podcast. Good job guys.

I thought SOS was the most cohesive episode so far. It answered more questions than it answered. Also the whole Rose and Bernard story was completely self-contained within the episode. I’m glad that they didn’t drag out the whole SOS story line over the next 10 episodes like they’ve done with Ecko’s church.
As for the 2 minute music interlude, that was the calm before the storm. All was right with the world. The lostaways have finally made peace with being stranded on the island. This was like the coaster at the top lift, everyone is enjoying the view and the breaze is nice, then gravity takes over and Michael returns to spur us on to the end of the season.
What a ride!

Hey guys great podcast. Hawaii doesn’t adhere to daylight savings time so we can get your podcast even before the show is over!

hahahaha you said mission impossible 4, its actually 3
April 13th, 2006 at 5:31 pm
Did anyone notice that the same song that Rose was playing in her car when it was stuck in the snow is the same song that Locke played at the end of the episode? Weird, huh?
April 13th, 2006 at 7:55 pm
That is wild.
April 14th, 2006 at 5:36 am
Any pics of the “thank you” board that the healer had when Rose walked by it in Australia?
April 14th, 2006 at 6:02 am
Yeah, is did focus on one in particular, and I was trying to make out the signature. Could that be significant? Or, are we just so keyed into clues that we think everything must be important?
April 14th, 2006 at 8:02 am
Someone has already come up with this, but where are Carla’s shownotes ?
April 14th, 2006 at 8:43 am
Just checked SOS and it was nice. Indeed not the best yet, but still cool story.
Also, I liked the funny note of the creators at the end: that smiley face with it’s smile upside down in the sand(appropriate to the mood).

April 14th, 2006 at 9:23 am
ok it seems it’s already been discussed on the boards
And daughterofdharma mentioned it looked like the computer prompt! I can’t agree more; it totally is just that. Nice egg.

Another wizard of oz thing:
in lost, zeke is mr. friendly’s name.
in the wizard of oz, it’s the cowardly lion’s name…

Hi - I’m not finding Carla’s shownotes on her site? Also, anyone recognize Scorpius from Farscape on the show?
April 14th, 2006 at 9:00 pm
I just heard that there are pics of you on the web site, but I can’t find them. I did a search but no luck - it said to look in the links. Can you give me a hint? Come out, come out, wherever you are.
