Jack,
you said that you guys were trying to get the show to 108minutes.
and at the 1hr. and 2 min. mark you mentioned that you could ramble for 6 more minutes…you might want to double check that thought “Mr. Math”

You wrote down “1980″ because that is the copyright year on the Pearl Orientation video tape. (Which is also the year on the Swan Orientation Film.) Which begs the question, why use film for the Swam hatch, but video tape for the Pearl hatch when they were presumably made in the same year?

I think that Libby is Desmods sister even though they are from different country’s because this is why Libby was so crazy in the hospital “She blames herself for her brothers disappearance?” lol!!
The idea just popped into my head lool
Just listened to the show and it was AMAZINGGGGG!!!!!!!!!YET AGAIN

Thanks for playing my call, I feel almost famous now. I still am holding strong that Mark Wickman did have a glass eye. Anyway, a little thing about my name. Halle Berry was born in Cleveland, where I am from. There used to be a department store here called Halle’s which is where both her parents and mine got the name from. So I may not be the real Halle Berry, and I am not nearly as gorgeous as her (very few people are!), but I thought that name thing is interesting. Keep up the good work guys!

Finster, my guess would be that video tape wouldn’t perform too well in a facility bombarded with magnetic energy. Still, although both were dated 1980, it sure looked like they “updated” various elements for “The Pearl” in addition to the format. Who knows why.

Who knows why.
I do! hahah

Seattle Dave got me thinking… What if Libby DOES have a twin and her name is “Liddy”. As in “Liddy Wales” who is on the Board of Directors of The Hanso Foundation. There IS a question mark where her photo should be…

Hey thats a good point holly

Seattle Dave here! I love how Jay & Jack took my lame little theory and made it *much* better in the Podcast — it would actually make perfect sense if Libby had no idea about her doppleganger being in Hurley’s hospital … her reactions would make as much sense in that scenario as in the “she’s lying” scenario.

Hey Jay and Jack - don’t get hung up on getting the “Beta” thing wrong. It WAS a Beta cassette - more correctly: an SP BETA cassette - a 60, 90, or 124 minute tape.
How do I know this? Because I work in post production, and send out media on these tapes and their more modern brother - DigiBeta - EVERY DAY. It is a broadcast standard, although it is being slowly phased out because of new means of streaming digital media.
Don’t believe me? Here’s a primer:

BareNakedHurley OUT.
May 15th, 2006 at 8:20 pm
A quick adendum - the original format was invented in 1982, which means it was either dubbed from U-matic http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/U-matic or some other form of media prior to the invention of the Betacam format.
Or the producers made a boo-boo.

lol i knew you guys were going to use “!” for the listener podcast title… great podcast as always

Seattle Dave– Just because they referred to the woman in the mental hospital as “Libby” doesn’t necessarily mean it *was* Libby. This is LOST, after all. Perhaps she had a psychotic break and thought she was Libby. Maybe the people in the hospital incorrectly thought she was Libby. Maybe the two sisters switched places for some unknown reason. Or maybe someone else switched them. Anyway, you see what I’m saying. Those writers are really smart. Heck, who knows! They probably throw stuff in there on purpose just to see how closely we’re paying attention.

According to the official podcast, the cigarette on the table was STILL BURNING! So an other was just there! Or is still there. Also, because the plane was on the hatch door, there must be another entrance. Interesting … …

Hey Jay I think the others DID specifically tell Michael to kill Ana Lucia. The Artist Formerly Known As Henry Gale knew AL killed Goodwin, so the other others must have known as well and were seeking some revenge.
May 16th, 2006 at 1:47 pm
playing off the Libby/Liddy twin thing… any idea if Liddy Wales - besides being on the board of directors of hanso - might also be (or have been……) a psychiatrist? i’m having a half-arsed crackpot idea (and some chick at work is yapping at me about work - how dare she - so i can’t wrap my head around it too much)
okay. yeah. i’ve got nothin’.

Not to be a jerk or anything but why is there only one download in the “downloadS” section?
I just love your music and you know..it’d be nice to have and all.
May 16th, 2006 at 8:07 pm
hey with the whole - Alvar Hanso hasnt been spotted in a long time in public thing- from the hanso site, maybe he is on the island? as the ‘he’? because in one film it showed him doing ‘hands on’ research i thiiiink
May 16th, 2006 at 9:22 pm
It just popped into my head this morning that when Michael takes everyone to rescue Walt that they might end up with other rescuees whether or not they get Walt back. That means that next season we could get flashbacks of what’s going on in the Other’s camp from the rescuees. How cool would that be! Of course it will probably be obscure and disjointed like Claire’s flashbacks. LOL

Seattle Dave,
I am so glad that you said something about the nurse calling Libby’s name in the hospital. That has bugged me for awhile since I have been hearing that theory quite often but it is clear that she is called Libby. But the switched twin sister thing could be something. As a girl I want to know what her real hair color is. If she really has dark hair we should be seeing some roots soon. Since I haven’t seen a salon on the island yet.
Has anyone been to the www.djdan.am? Check it out if you haven’t.

Did anyone happen to notice during Locke’s dream about Eko falling off the cliff, Eko was walking with a limp in the dream? But when Locke woke up, Eko was walking fine. It was almost like Locke took over Eko’s body during the dream…
