Congratulations guys, that is very cool! With all the podcasts out there (especially all the Lost ones) I’m so glad yours was recognized since it’s, of course, the best one :). But seriously that’s very cool, and I’m sure makes all the work you put into it a little more worth it.
May 16th, 2006 at 3:07 pm
Wow well done guys…you deserve to be noticed and put out there…yours is by far the best lost podcast…keep up the great work
May 16th, 2006 at 3:20 pm
Excellent! I would like to hear what this person would have said about MYOKOM with SAS!!!!
May 16th, 2006 at 4:32 pm
“Jay and Jack — who are related, but prefer to keep the nature of the relationship a mystery”
Come on. Can’t believe you didn’t even tell the AP. I was hoping for a slip.
May 16th, 2006 at 4:52 pm
Your podcast really *is* the best one out there. Thanks for sharing the article- and you scored a Jorge Garcia quote! Good job.
May 16th, 2006 at 4:56 pm
WOOHOO!!! Great job, keep up the excellent job!
May 16th, 2006 at 5:35 pm
Cool beans! And thanks for keeping the mysterious relationship a mystery.
Wow. 6 or 7 hours per podcast. I knew it took some work to get the podcast out there, but I had no idea.
Hats off to you!!!
May 16th, 2006 at 5:35 pm
Same here, Orlando! I had copied that same phrase, but you beat me to it.
ARGH… too funny. But we got to see where they record, so that’s pretty cool.
Well done, Jack and Jill. I mean Jay.
May 16th, 2006 at 6:05 pm
You guys are perty. =D
May 16th, 2006 at 7:58 pm
Nice iMac!
May 16th, 2006 at 8:33 pm
NIce socks Jay..
Jack is only 43 and bald? My parents are like way older than that. I’ll send some crazy witch doctor hair cure your way.
May 16th, 2006 at 8:34 pm
I laughed when they mentioned your mysterious relation to each other. I think you guys are Uncle and Nephew.
May 16th, 2006 at 9:01 pm
Glatfelter??? Is that really your last name?
I agree with Starline. I always thought Jack was Jay’s dad, but now I am thinking Jack is Jay’s uncle (dad’s brother).
Congrats on the recongnition, guys. You deserve it!
May 17th, 2006 at 3:25 am
I still can’t believe that you guys are white! I mean…. wow! Didn’t see that coming
May 17th, 2006 at 3:50 am
Hey guys…like a putz I just emailed you the link to this article…whoops! Way to go…you two deserve much more publicity…and Orlando…I thought the slip was when the reporter stated that they share the same last name…no?
Again…very cool article…great picture…get better chairs! We need to know that you two are comfy while keeping us entertained.
Thanks for all the time and effort…we do appreciate it
May 17th, 2006 at 5:21 am
Congrats guys! Hope to see you in my paper soon. You really are doing a great job. While rewatching season 1 on DVD during the hiatus I listened again to some of the old podcasts (where sometimes you couldn’t even remember the names of the characters) and you really have come a long way. Keep up the great work!
May 17th, 2006 at 5:31 am
Congratulations Jay and Jack! you’re finally getting the recognition you deserve! I’ve been thinking about doing an article about Lost podcasts for my local Manila newspaper, but AP beat me to it! Thank you for the most enjoyable Lost podcast. It is really something I look forward to every week, and really makes my day when I hear it
God bless you both!
May 17th, 2006 at 6:17 am
Wow, didn’t think Jay was only 21, maybe late 20s. Hope people dont start to stalk you guys now since more will know your last name.
May 17th, 2006 at 7:41 am
Classic post from ‘John from Canada’….that really had me laughing out loud. Anyways…good to see you guys get some recognition of your great LOST podcast.
I just checked out that other podcast the article mentioned, ‘Generally Speaking’….and, oh boy that co-hostest (and her laugh) is horrible. There are quite a few other podcasts out there…but you dont have to worry about competition from that one.
May 17th, 2006 at 7:47 am
Congratulations, I hope they start running this article.
May 17th, 2006 at 10:54 am
How cool is this?! First, Jorge calls in and now a story by the AP. You guys are celebrities! Congrats!!!
May 17th, 2006 at 11:10 am
wow! you guys are famous! I think it’s funny how you are keeping the relationship a mystery. Kinda like Lost, we may never know the whole truth! Anyways(ding) I’l try to find the articel in the San Diego Union Tribune, maybe you’ll like to have a copy from your hometown paper : )
Congratulations again guys, thanks for all the hardwork, we all appreciate it!
May 17th, 2006 at 11:17 am
Cooooool! I like your podcast alot, it´s almost as good as the actual tv show. I´m a musician too and i enjoy all the crazy songs haha! Jay is funny as hell and Jack is a great sidekick, especially when he annoys Jay alot. The other Lost podcast’s got nothing on you!
You guys rock! Please keep it up!
Best regards from sweden
May 17th, 2006 at 3:06 pm
Nice socks, Jay-how cute! Keep up the good work, guys.
May 17th, 2006 at 5:49 pm
*sings* “Next on Laaaaaaauuuuust! Next on Laaaaaust! Maybe it´s in a week maybe it’s in a couple days Next on Laaaaaauuust, Lo lo lo LOST!”
May 17th, 2006 at 7:45 pm
OMG SAME LAST NAME
May 18th, 2006 at 3:47 am
I agree with you JAW.And check this out.Talk about competition and being bitter. After the article came out I wanted to check out the site that went along with the other podcasts. The guy at Generally Speaking had this to say about the ranking in podcasting:
Cliff wrote:
Here is how I rank the top four Lost Podcasts…
1) Generally Speaking — Okay.. so I’m biased!
2) Jay & Jack — Mostly becaue of their “EFFORT” They have a normal feed for
mp3, they also do an enhanced aac feed that they produce at the same time, they
do both of these feeds TWICE A WEEK, and not only that, but Jay is the primary
person maintaining the Lost Podcasting Network. They also put a good deal of
work into a funny short VidCast for Lost.
3) LostCasts — These guys are just DEEP THINKERS. They take time to read all
the books dropped into Lost. They research wikipeidea for theories. These guys
really know their LOSTOLOGY!
4) Delta Park Get’s Lost — Jason & Anna do a pretty decent podcast each week.
They are funny at times and they don’t take everything so seriously. Their
shorter shows make them an easy listen.
I disagree. I am biased too. And I think Jay and Jack are #1.
May 18th, 2006 at 12:02 pm
congratulations you guys! i cant believe how much work goes into those podcasts! and 13,000 subscribers all over the world… you boys are gems!
relationship still a mystery… either father and son from a previous marriage or uncle and nephew. but i think you guys look alike, so im going with father and son.
May 18th, 2006 at 6:56 pm
Have you noticed that cliff from the generaly speaking podcast seems to have a vendetta against MYOKOM with SAS?
May 19th, 2006 at 8:57 am
Well, they weren’t on his list of top four. I think he has a vendetta against any competition. I have had to stop listening to the Generally Speaking podcast, they beg for donations and giggle more then they talk about Lost or anything Lost related. Give me #2 Jay and Jack any day.
Chicago Loves Jay and Jack!
May 19th, 2006 at 12:03 pm
Loved the article about you and the rest of the Podcasters. Now why hide the father-son relationship. It’s great that you both get along so well.
May 19th, 2006 at 12:20 pm
I agree with Rick James. I had to stop listening to the Generally Speaking Podcast too because of all the donation talk. It was so annoying. They even put up a poll on their forum about it. Of course only the people who didn’t mind the donation requests commented. I just stopped listening. I will always be a Jay and Jack fan. You guys are awesome. Thanks for not begging for money to do something you love. Even if it is just “normal feed for mp3″.
May 19th, 2006 at 4:39 pm
Didn’t you already tell us you were father-son….well, sort of…on the 3 minute podcast, Jay said:
“What if you lost your son, and your all ticked off….”
and Jack said:
“So it would just be the Jack show, ha ha ha ha”
May 19th, 2006 at 8:02 pm
Great article and you two are sooo cuuute! I just wana pwinch both of thwose wittlwe cheeks!
Seriously, tho, it’s about time you two got the recognition you deserve after such hard work and dedication. Congrats, we love Jay and Jack!
May 21st, 2006 at 3:30 am
Come on guys , don’t be attacking Generally speaking or other podcasts,, its all fun theres no real “competition” to it, theres no point complaining about which one is best and which one you hate, if you like LOST just listen to the podcasts.
May 21st, 2006 at 6:18 am
IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ME IN THAT PICTURE!!!!
ha ha ha - LOL
I think it is so funny how people think we view you guys as competition! You guys deserved to be in the photo! I was honored to be mentioned in the same article with you guys!
I’m so Anna LuLu quoted everything I said about you guys. Of course this person did not catch my obvious sense of humor in listing myself first.
However, I do believe you guys are at the top for all the reasons I listed above…. Mostly becaue of their “EFFORT” They have a normal feed for
mp3, they also do an enhanced aac feed that they produce at the same time, they do both of these feeds TWICE A WEEK, and not only that, but Jay is the primary person maintaining the Lost Podcasting Network. They also put a good deal of work into a funny short VidCast for Lost.
I could have said a whole lot more! You guys are very entertaining!
I’m looking forward to this final epsisode of Lost.
Thanks for all you guys do!

Why are making a competion out of podcasting. Gosh… I listen to them all. (Well, as many as I can during my commute and the new episode of LOST.) They all have something different to contribute. Here are my views on those that I manage to listen faithfully all the time.
1) Jay & Jack — Comedy
2) Generally Speaking — The female—male view of LOST (and on some special occasions, some deep insights to the Christian religion the producers may have inserted in LOST)
3) LostCasts — The preparatory classes for the PhD equivalency test
4) Delta Park Get’s Lost — Another female—male prospective version of LOST
5) LostTheories — The name says it: Theories.
May 23rd, 2006 at 4:30 am
WOW! grats guys. I admit that I am abit miffed that you guys had to share column space with the Ravenscrafts. They don’t deserve to be mentioned in the same breath as you two, you’re podcast rocks! Grats guys, you deserve it!
May 23rd, 2006 at 5:50 am
LOL, Edith. I love what you put for Lostcasts. Now that is funny. Those guys always seem to find things that no one else does. I love all the Podcasts. I listen to them during the week at work, it keeps me sane. Since no one else I know is as big of Lost fan as I am. All the podcasts give me a chance to listen to what I miss. I don’t know if any of them went away. I had a hard enough time when the Transmisson and SAS stopped.
And Jay and Jack you guys rule. That is awesome about the article. Keep up the good work. I love what you are doing. Hope we get another Vidcast this summer, maybe you could get Jorge to come and do an interview with you than, now that would rule.
May 24th, 2006 at 7:40 pm
Loved seeing that article on you guys! Awesome. I have to admit, I don’t really believe Lost podcasts are in competition- but, you are my #1 choice. Who else argues like you two? Who puts out 2 podcasts each week? I love it love it love it!!!
